Amanda Uribe, who has been a foster family member in the household of Cheryl and David Shive for the past two years, relates her thanks for the Montgomery foster program and announces that she will be entering the University of Maryland this fall as the Montgomery County Council on July 31 saluted the County’s volunteer foster families. Nationwide, there are more than 400,000 children annually living with foster families and Montgomery County is constantly seeking more families to host foster children.
