CHESED AMBASSADORS … Montgomery County Council Vice President Nancy Navarro (right) on Sept. 11 present a proclamation on behalf of the Council to students and administrators from the private Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy and Harmony Hills Elementary School to recognize their efforts in the “Chesed” Ambassadors mentoring program. Through the “Chesed Ambassadors” program (chesed translates to “kindness” in Hebrew), Berman Academy students volunteer to mentor kindergarteners at Harmony Hills in reading and math.
