LIBRARY SNAPSHOT DAY … Montgomery County Councilmember George Leventhal read to the students of Ms. Deborah Lee’s Beall Elementary School kindergarten class on Oct. 10 as the Rockville branch of Montgomery County Public Libraries joined libraries across the state in participating in the third annual Library Snapshot Day. The special day was created to demonstrate how residents use their libraries and to emphasize the importance of libraries in communities. During Snapshot Day, statistics, customer comments, photographs and other data chronicling a typical library day are recorded and combined with the experiences of libraries in Maryland. On this day, Councilmember Leventhal read the book, “Tyson the Terrible.”
