Davis Library’s Annual Community Day Scheduled for Saturday, May 31; Book Sale, Entertainment, Activities Highlight Event

The Friends of the Davis Library will hold their traditional Community Day and Book Sale on Saturday May 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the library located at 6400 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda.

Free entertainment and activities will be held according to the following schedule:

10:30 a.m. -- magician Joe Romano;

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. --– balloon artist clowns;

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. --– tattoo artists, strolling guitarist, Chinese paper cutting crafts, fire engine on display

The Friends chapter will also host their bi-annual book sale, featuring a wide variety of books, CDs, DVDs, and other items such as maps, pamphlets, etc. for adults and children. The book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the library meeting room.

“Community Day is the highlight of our year here at Davis.” said Library Manager Anita Vassallo. “Our Friends provide a wonderful occasion with entertainment for the whole family, and we hope that many Davis customers will stop by to enjoy the celebration.”
