Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) will wrap up a year-long celebration of its 30th anniversary with a Family Fun Picnic at Smokey Glen Farm, 16407 Riffleford Rd., Gaithersburg on Sunday, October 21, from noon to 4 p.m. Directions and visitor information is available at http://www.smokeyglenfarm.com/directions.htm. No alcohol or pets are allowed at the event. Service dogs will be permitted, provided advance notice is given to FOLMC at 240-777-0020 by Friday, October 19 at 5 p.m.

The picnic will include a barbeque buffet, a hayride, square dancing, a moon bounce, pumpkin decorating, mini golf and other sports activities. Storybook characters Curious George and Maisy Mouse will be make special appearances throughout the event.

Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.folmc.org. Prices for tickets are $15 for children three to 12 years old and $20 for everyone 13 years-old and over. Children two years and under are free.

Family packages with discounted ticket rates also are available. A family of four (two adults and two children) costs $60 and a family of five (two adults and three children) costs $75.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

FOLMC, a not-for-profit membership organization with 17 chapters, operates used book stores in Gaithersburg, Rockville and Wheaton.
