Office of Human Rights Fair Housing Poster Contest

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (left) recently visited Farmland Elementary School to present the winner of the Office of Human Rights Fair Housing Poster Contest with a $250 Savings Bond. The winning poster was created by fifth grade student Erin Forsythe. The poster was part of an assignment at the OHR “Human Rights Camp” for fifth grade students held in October at the YMCA’s Camp Letts facility in Edgewater, MD. The winning poster has been on display in more than 200 County Ride On buses throughout the months of April and May. Also pictured above are (left to right), Erin’s teacher, Audrey Fincher and Principal Diane Smith. The contest was co-sponsored through a partnership with Montgomery County’s departments of Transportation and Housing and Community Affairs.
