Wayne Goldstein Center for Responsible Government

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett recently unveiled a plaque naming Montgomery County’s CountyStat Meeting Center the “Wayne Goldstein Center for Responsible Government.” Goldstein, who passed away suddenly in 2009, was a longtime civic activist and past president of the Montgomery County Civic Federation. An avid proponent of the CountyStat initiative, he was instrumental in getting this program up and running in Montgomery County. Pictured above at a ceremony in Rockville, left to right are: Judith Pont (friend of Goldstein); Leggett; Trenice Goldstein (Goldstein’s mother); and Councilmember Phil Andrews.
