Leggett to Help Kick Off Minority Business Enterprise University Conference in Downtown Silver Spring

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will kick off the 2013 Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) University Conference themed, Pathways to Procurement and designed to provide one-on-one accelerated procurement matchmaking opportunities with public and private entities. Hundreds of attendees from across the state and region will participate to learn of upcoming contracting opportunities.

Supported by the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA), in collaboration with the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, the Conference will include a keynote luncheon address and White House briefing on Small Business by David Hinson, National Director, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and remarks by Zenita Wickham Hurley, Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs. Both will also join Leggett at the opening session kick-off.
