|Free Workshop on Volunteering for Residents 50+ Years of Age to be Held at Germantown Library
A free one-hour workshop, “50+: Vital Living Through Volunteering,” will be presented at the Germantown Library on Tuesday, May 20 from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a question-and-answer session. The library is located at 19840 Century Blvd.
The program is sponsored by VLN-Montgomery County Vital Living Network and Montgomery County Public Libraries in partnership with the Jewish Council on Aging and the Montgomery County Volunteer Center. No registration is required but seating is limited.
To request a sign language interpreter or other deaf/hard of hearing services for library-sponsored programs, email MCPL.DeafAccess@montgomerycountymd.gov, with at least three business days notice.
The library’s meeting room is equipped with an audio induction loop system for people who use hearing aid amplification with a telecoil switch or cochlear implants. A limited number of receivers are available for individuals who do not use amplification devices.
