On Saturday and Sunday, spectators at the AT&T Golf Tournament will have another transportation option. Due to the ongoing heat advisory, Montgomery County will operate its weekday Route 36 Ride On bus during the weekend. The route will be extended beyond the Connelly School (where it typically ends) to the main walk-in entrance for the Congressional Country Club, located at Persimmon Tree Road and Country Club Lane. The bus route will terminate at the Carderock Springs Elementary School, located at 7401 Persimmon Tree Lane. The Route 36 service begins in downtown Bethesda.
The bus will run every 30 minutes, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A map of the weekday Route 36 bus is available on the County’s website at www.rideonbus.com. The map does not show the special route extension for this weekend.
Normal Ride On fares will be charged. On Saturday the fare is $1.70 and on Sunday it is $1.80. Passengers who use a SmarTrip card for fare payment will receive a 10-cent discount on these fares.
