Montgomery County Government offices are open for business as usual on Monday, July 2.
Montgomery County's MC311 Call Center will operate a regular schedule on Monday, July 2 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 311 or 240-777-0311. Residents can also report downed trees and other non-emergency issues by using the web portal at www.mc311.com either through home or office computers or through mobile devices.
Despite government offices being open for business, the Montgomery County Department of Recreation has canceled all scheduled programs and activities due to widespread power outages. This includes summer camp programs, for Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3. Montgomery County Recreation facilities with power will be open for drop-in use during scheduled operating hours. However, residents should call the facility beforehand to verify that it is open.
The Community Use of Public Facilities also announces that all community use activities in Montgomery County Public Schools are cancelled on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3. Approximately 137 schools are still without power. A decision will be made on Tuesday regarding July 4 activities.
