|Leggett Helps Celebrate Allentuck Landscaping’s 25th Anniversary; Clarksburg company donates Children’s Garden at Hospice Caring, Inc. in memory of owner’s grandparents|
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett today joined Bruce Allentuck, founder and president of Allentuck Landscaping Company, Gaithersburg elected officials and other invited guests to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clarksburg-based Allentuck Landscaping.
Allentuck started working as a landscaper in his Montgomery County neighborhood while still in high school. He started his business by the time he was 22, and has grown the company from two employees to more than thirty.
“We are very proud to have a home-grown company like Allentuck Landscaping expand and succeed in Montgomery County and contribute to our local economy in the process,” said Leggett. “Twenty-five years in business is truly an impressive milestone and a testament to Bruce’s hard work, commitment and savvy management skills.”
Allentuck Landscaping has been recognized as one of Maryland's Most Exceptional Companies by The Gazette and as one of the top area landscape contractors by The Washington Business Journal. The company was also awarded Montgomery County’s 2008 Environmental Green Innovation Award.
“When I started Allentuck Landscaping Company in Rockville I was just 22 years old with no idea that the company would become what it is today,” said Allentuck. “We consider ourselves very fortunate to work with such wonderful team members, customers and partners. It has truly been an amazing ride and we look forward to seeing what the next 25 years will bring.”
Allentuck's grandparents were cared for by Hospice Caring, Inc. in Gaithersburg during their final days. To commemorate his company’s anniversary and in memory of his grandparents and the care they received, his company donated and dedicated a Children's Garden at Hospice Caring, Inc. as part of today’s ceremony.
