Wachovia Bank Robbery in Rockville

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division - Robbery Section and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating a bank robbery that occurred this morning in Rockville.

Today at 9:39 a.m., Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Police 1st District officers responded to the Wachovia Bank, located at 404 King Farm Boulevard in Rockville, for the report of a bank robbery that had just occurred.

The preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects entered the bank and each displayed handguns. The suspects announced the robbery and demanded cash. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, they fled the bank in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspects are described as black males, 25 to 29 years of age, 6’0” tall, with stocky-builds. They were wearing dark clothing and masks.
