| Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1600 block of Neeley Road in Silver Spring.
On February 23, 2009 at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers from the 3rd District responded to the 1600 block of Neeley Road in Silver Spring for the report of a shooting. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 21-year-old male victim was suffering from gun shot wounds to his back. He was transported to Med Star Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Other residents stated that the victim had two subjects in his bedroom when they heard gun shots. They then observed the suspects fleeing the residence.
While investigators believe the suspects are known to the victim, their identities have not been confirmed. The first subject is described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’10” to 6’00” tall, weighing 180 pounds, long dreadlocks hair style, and armed with a handgun. The second subject is described as a dark-skinned black male, age 20, 6’00” tall, and weighing 200 pounds.
