| Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect responsible for two burglaries that occurred this month at the Willoughby condominium apartment buildings in Chevy Chase. Detectives are releasing a photograph of the suspect believed responsible for both of these burglaries.
On August 19 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., a suspect entered an unlocked apartment at 4515 Willard Avenue while the 26-year-old male and 76-year-old female residents were not at home. Personal property was taken. On August 24, the burglary occurred between 1:00 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. to an apartment at 5550 Friendship Boulevard. The residence was not locked and the resident was at home at the time the suspect entered. The suspect grabbed personal property and ran out when he saw the 53-year-old male resident approaching him
The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6’ tall, weighing between 180 and 190 pounds with balding black hair. At the time of the second burglary he was wearing a light blue striped polo shirt, knee-length white shorts, and white tennis shoes.
