Judges Needed for 2012 Elections

Montgomery County’s Board of Elections is seeking individuals to serve as election judges at polling places for the elections to be held on April 3 and November 6.

Voters will be casting ballots for President, U.S. Senate, Congressional representatives, Circuit Court and Court of Appeals judges, Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee delegates, and members of the Montgomery County Board of Education.

Judges must be registered to vote in the State of Maryland.  They must also be able to speak, read and write the English language, and while acting as a judge must not hold, or be a candidate for, public or party office.  In addition, election judges may not serve as a campaign manager for a candidate or as treasurer for any campaign financial entity.

Judges bilingual in Spanish and election judge alternates are needed throughout the County.  Training will be provided and all judges will be compensated for their services.
