Wednesday, May 26 – Live Call In Show with Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and County Council President Nancy Floreen. From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., the officials will answer residents’ questions on any topics of local concern. Hosted by Alisa Parenti, the show will be broadcast live on County Cable Montgomery, Channel 6 for RCN and Comcast cuastomers and Channel 30 for Verizon subscribers. Residents can call in to 240-777-6540 during the show. The show can also be viewed live on the County’s website; go to www.montgomerycountymd.gov  and click on County Cable 6.

Sunday, June 6 -- Paws in the Park, a 1K 3K, 5K dog walk benefitting homeless animals through the Montgomery County Humane Society. Registration at noon, walk begins at 1 p.m. Wheaton Regional Park, 11751 Orebaugh Ave.  Rain date, June 13.  Pet games, demos, off-leash dog park, a "flealess" market for pet-friendly vendors, food, music, prizes, etc.  Register online.
