Now Official: It’s Rockville Memorial Library

County Executive Ike Leggett (2nd from right) and approximately 100 others gathered in the Rockville Town Square Plaza on Friday of the Memorial Day weekend for the official ceremony marking the renaming of the Rockville Library to the Rockville Memorial Library.
Included among the attendees were Gayle Selkin-Gutman and Jacques Gelin, Friends of the Library, Rockville Chapter; County Councilmembers Phil Andrews and Duchy Trachtenberg; former Rockville City Councilmember Anne Robbins; Irwin Cohen, community activist and advocate for renaming the library to honor local service people who lost their lives in the line of duty; Rockville Mayor Phyllis Marcuccio; and Bill Gray, chairman of the Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs.
