County Council Public Hearing Held on Transportation Fees and Fares

The Montgomery County Council held a public hearing on April 26 on proposed transportation fees, charges and fares. These include reducing the discount on Ride On’s monthly pass, increasing long term parking rates in Silver Spring and Bethesda by 10 cents an hour, adding parking charges on Saturday for Bethesda’s lots and garages, and assessing fees for developers in the Greater Shady Grove Transportation Management District.
The Council will accept written comments for 30 days following the hearing. For more information call the Council at 240-777-7803, or visit the Council’s website.
