Hey Guys! I have some great news. The Montgomery County Department of Recreation has received new grant funding targeted to provide assistance to injured military veterans with visual impairments. The grant was awarded from the National Recreation and Park Association and the United States Olympic Committee Paralympics Division, to only 12 agencies across the country. The Department of Recreation is using the funding to develop audible programming that will provide easier access for individuals with visual impairments working to get a full workout in one of Recreation’s community centers’ weight rooms. This is another great way the Recreation Department is giving back to those who are fighting for our freedom! Yipee!
