SPORTS FOR ALL AGES … The Montgomery County Senior Sports Association on July 12 was recognized by the Montgomery County Council and County Executive Isiah Leggett in a joint proclamation recognizing the organization’s 20 years of providing services and activities for County seniors. The MCSSA, in partnership with the Montgomery County Recreation Department, focuses improving the health and quality of lives of senior citizens through exercise. Emphasizing its motto, “If you had fun, you won,” the organization encourages senior citizens to participate in a variety of sports. William Tate (middle), one of the founding members of MCSSA, accepted the proclamation presented by Councilmember Nancy Floreen. Montgomery County Recreation Director Gabriel Albornoz (left) also attended.
