Triples Funding to $6 Million to Boost Youth Activities

County Executive Isiah Leggett will be joined by school officials; Police Chief Tom Manger and Health and Human Services Director Uma Ahluwalia, co-chairs of the Gang Prevention Task Force; Recreation Department Director Gabriel Albornoz and others to highlight his recommended FY08 funding for gang prevention activities. The nearly $6 million in recommended funding includes increased after-school activities and services for youth at risk of joining gangs.
