Leggett to Participate in Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for White Oak Community Recreation Center

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will join County Councilmembers Nancy Navarro, Valerie Ervin and Nancy Floreen, U.S. Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Montgomery County’s Department of Recreation Director Gabe Albornoz, Department of General Services Director David Dise, Montgomery Parks Director Mary Bradford and community representatives for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the new White Oak Community Recreation Center.

The new 33,000-square-foot center features a full-sized gymnasium, exercise room, weight room, social hall, kitchen, multi-purpose community room, arts/kiln room, game room, conference room and the Recreation Department’s first rock climbing wall. The center will also house a dedicated space for a comprehensive senior program.
