Leggett to Join Sarles, Councilmembers, Other Elected Officials in Launching New MetroExtra Bus Service in Maryland

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will celebrate the launch of new MetroExtra bus service on New Hampshire Avenue. The new Route K9 is a limited-stop service that helps relieve crowding between Northwest Park and Fort Totten. This corridor has the third highest ridership in Maryland.
Joining Leggett will be County Councilmembers Roger Berliner, Hans Riemer and Valerie Ervin, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) Board Member Kathy Porter, Metro General Manager and CEO Richard Sarles and Metro Board Member and DC Councilmember Muriel Bowser.
