County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention Forum Scheduled for October 7 in Rockville
An Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention Forum is scheduled for October 7, 7-9 p.m., at the Richard Montgomery High School Auditorium, 250 Richard Montgomery Drive, Rockville.
The free forum will address youth substance abuse in Montgomery County for concerned residents and parents who want to learn about drugs, addiction, and promoting wellness in the community.
Speakers will include Dr. Joshua P. Starr, Superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS); Dr. James M. Bjork, Program Officer, Division of Clinical Neuroscience & Behavioral Research, National Institute on Drug Abuse; and Dr. Raymond L. Crowel, Chief, Behavioral Health and Crisis Services, Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. Also scheduled to speak are Dr. Ursula Hermann, Director, Department of Student Services, MCPS; Sgt. Keith Matthis, Montgomery County Police Department; and Timothy Warner, Chief Engagement and Partnership Officer, MCPS.
