Montgomery County’s Mid-County Regional Services Center recently launched three new blogs in an effort to encourage and strengthen community ties and participation. Blogs are websites that allow users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics. They are frequently updated and intended for the general public.
The Director’s Blog at http://midcountydirector.blogspot.com, is monitored by Natalie Cantor, director of the Midcounty Regional Services Center. Cantor will address issues affecting residents in an area that extends from the Beltway to Howard County and includes such communities as Ashton, Aspen Hill, Brookeville, Capital View, Derwood, Forest Glen, Glenmont, Kemp Mill, Kensington, Layhill, Norbeck, Olney, Sandy Spring, Upper Rock Creek, and Wheaton.
The Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board Blog at http://mccabblog.blogspot.com, provides an opportunity for community members to participate in discussions with the members of this board and share concerns and comments about life and issues pertaining to local neighborhoods.
The Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee Blog at http://wudacblog.blogspot.com, is a blog for residents, businesses, surrounding neighborhoods and visitors to downtown Wheaton to share their ideas, compliments, and concerns about the downtown area.
