Montgomery County’s Department of Liquor Control (DLC) has partnered with industry leader Diageo to develop and print 2012 identification (ID) checking calendars for distribution to every establishment in the County with a liquor license to help ensure that underage patrons cannot buy alcohol.
The ID checking calendar is part of the award-winning “Keeping It Safe” public education campaign designed to educate businesses and the community on alcohol laws and social host responsibility. The calendars are being distributed at no cost to County businesses and include monthly regulatory tips, important licensing dates and training schedules. Funding was made available through the Crown Royal brand of Diageo.
“The Department of Liquor Control will continue to act as a resource for businesses licensed to serve and/or sell alcohol in the County,” said Kathie Durbin, Chief, Division of Licensure, Regulation and Education. “We will do all we can to prevent the sale of alcohol to youth under the age of 21. These calendars are a great resource for the business owners and staff.”
