Plaintiff took an overdose of medication in a potential suicide attempt. A concerned friend called 911. Officers and Fire and Rescue were dispatched to Plaintiff's home. The officers inquired about her consumption of medication and alcohol. They told her she needed to go to the hospital for medical attention. She refused to go and became combative. The officers had to use their tasers to control her and then handcuffed her in order to transport her to the hospital for the medical care she needed. She filed this suit alleging violations of her constitutional rights, negligence and gross negligence.
