How to recycle/dispose of concrete

Curbside collection: No
County facilities accepting concrete:
* Shady Grove Processing Facility & Transfer Station

We accept rubble (broken concrete, asphalt, dirt/soil, rocks, stone, bricks and block) and stumps for disposal at our Solid Waste Transfer Station.

size limitations

These materials are accepted Monday through Saturday only, via the Truck Entrance on Shady Grove Road. We cannot accept them on weekday evenings or Sundays.

We must weigh the load of these materials in your vehicle. Our scales are located at the Truck Entrance, and operate only when this entrance is open.

Please note that these materials are considered waste, not recyclable items. Therefore, the Transfer Station fee schedule may apply, depending on the weight of your load.

Do you have whole bricks or cinder blocks to dispose?

You may donate whole bricks and cinder blocks to our "Don't Dump, Donate" building material reuse program at no charge. Stack these items in the "Don't Dump, Donate" area.

Does your soil contain lead?

Sorry, our Transfer Station cannot accept soil which contains lead.
