Public Meeting May 9: Pedestrian safety in the vicinity of the intersection of Randolph and Veirs Mill roads

County officials invite residents and employees in Wheaton to a public meeting to discuss pedestrian safety in the community surrounding the intersection of Randolph Road and Veirs Mill Road - one of the County’s areas with the highest number of pedestrian collisions.  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Old Roundhouse Theatre, Recreation Administrative Offices, 4010 Randolph Road, Silver Spring. Light refreshments will be served.

Attendees will learn more about the County’s efforts to improve pedestrian safety in the area and will have the opportunity to provide input to County officials about pedestrian safety concerns.  Staff will also ask for volunteer pedestrian safety ambassadors who are willing to help educate others in the community about pedestrian safety.

Spanish language interpreters will attend the meeting.

To learn more about safe walking in the county, visit MCDOT's pedestrian safety website.
