The following construction is related to the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC) associated with the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda.  It may impact traffic in the vicinity of the Center.

Rehabilitation of the bridge on Cedar Lane over Rock Creek is ongoing.  Road closure and the Cedar Lane detour is currently scheduled for June 16th at 7:00 PM.  Please exercise caution and watch for signs to guide you through the work zone.

Pavement patching, milling and resurfacing has begun on Battery Lane from Old Georgetown Road to MD355. This project should be complete by the end of June, weather permitting.

A new sidewalk is being constructed along Jones Bridge Road.  One segment has opened from MD 355 thru Gunnell Road.  Crews have completed sod placement from Grier Road thru University Road.  The next phase will be to start construction of sidewalk from Gunnell Road thru Grier Road.

Signage has been completed for Battery Lane Wayfinding.

Sidewalk construction along MD355 beside the National Naval Medical Center has been completed.
