The County Council will hold a public hearing on an amendment to the FY 11-16 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and a Supplemental Appropriation to the FY12 Capital Budget Montgomery County Government Department of Transportation for the MD 355 Crossing project.  This project results from the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC) and is contained in the Captial Improvements Program as project No. 501209.  The supplemental appropriation is for $28,174,000, which covers a portion of the project's total projected cost. 

This amendment and supplemental appropriation will fund the right of way negotiations, utility relocations, design and construction of a multi-modal grade separated connection between the Walter Reed Naval Medical Center and the Medical Center Metro Rail Station.  Funding also includes high speed elevators to provide a direct connection between the Medical Center and the Metro Station mezzanine.
