North (Frederick & Carroll Counties)
From Interstate 70/Route 40 at Mount Airy, take Route 27 six miles south to the intersection of Route 108. Turn left onto Route 108 at the traffic light and go one block to the intersection of Route 108 (Main Street) and Route 124. The library will be on the left between the Damascus Centre Shopping Center and the Day Care Center.
South (Rockville area)
Take 270 north past Germantown to the Damascus exit, Route 27. Follow Route 27 about six miles into
Damascus. Go through the stoplight near Damascus Elementary, bearing right at the second stoplight at Lewis Drive. Continue past the third stoplight at intersection of Route 27 and Route 108, following Route 108. Continue one block to the fourth stoplight at the intersection of Routes 108 and 124. The library will be on your left, just past this intersection. The library is between the Damascus Centre Shopping Center and the Day Care Center.
South (Olney area)
Take Route 108 north to Damascus. Library is on right hand side of Route 108, just past the Day Care Center and before the intersection of Route 108 and 124, at 9701 Main St.
About the Library: Library service in Damascus started as a bookmobile stop in 1952. A storefront library opened in the Damascus Centre shopping plaza in 1973. The Damascus Library opened in its current location at 9701 Main Street on Sept. 4, 1990, on 8.9 acres.
