Pedestrian Safety Campaign at Seneca Valley High School

Community volunteers, parents and Montgomery County firefighters conducted a campaign at Seneca Valley High School to increase pedestrian safety and help students avoid future tragedies. The team of pedestrian safety champions have been stationed at intersections near the school, providing pedestrian safety tips to students, distributing reflective materials and pointing out unsafe behaviors, such as texting or wearing ear buds while crossing. Students at the school also created a 10-minute public service announcement that highlighted the importance of being a safe pedestrian and driver.
