 Montgomery County 2013 Year-End Crime Statistics Show 9% Reduction in Crime

County Executive Ike Leggett and Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger released the 2013 year-end crime statistics for the County. Total crime decreased 9 % from 2012 and contributed to a 26% reduction in total crime over the past seven years and a 33% reduction in serious Part I crimes. The 26% drop in all crimes is three times lower than the 9% drop nationally.
