Scope of Services:
Montgomery County, Maryland ("County"), on behalf of the County and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission ("M-NCPPC"), through the County's Department of Transportation ("DOT"), seeks a qualified developer team for a mixed-use design and development of up to four County and M-NCPPC sites ("sites"). The objective of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") will be the construction of a government office building, a town square, public parking, as well as the private development of mixed-used, high quality, transit-oriented project within the Wheaton and Silver Spring Central Business Districts (CBDs) that are consistent with the County’s objectives of increased density, mixed-use, and appropriate levels of affordable housing ("project").
Wheaton and Silver Spring Community Meetings
Potential Proposers are strongly encouraged to attend the two community meetings in Wheaton and Silver Spring. The intent of these meetings is to make the potential Proposers aware of the communities’ interest and concerns related to the redevelopment as they prepare their Proposals.
The Silver Spring community meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on June 11, 2013 at the Montgomery Regional Office of M-NCPPC, 8787 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD.
The Wheaton community meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on June 12, 2013 at the Wheaton Library, 11701 Georgia Ave., Wheaton, MD 20902.
