1024735 - Ad Hoc Services for Young Children with Developmental Delays
The Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program (MCITP) assists families raising children between birth and four years of age with developmental delays and special health care needs. MCITP staff assists eligible children in the following areas: cognitive development; physical development, including fine and gross motor, sensory development, and hearing and vision; language and speech development; social/emotional development; and self-help skills. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to contract with multiple vendors for the services listed below.
The County requires services that may be provided by one or more of the following personnel:
Occupational therapists: Provides services to address the functional needs of a child.
Physical therapists: Provides services to address the promotion of sensorimotor function through enhancement of musculoskeletal status, neurobehavioral organization, perceptual and motor development, cardiopulmonary status, and effective environmental adaption.
Special educators: Includes the design of learning environments and activities that promote the child’s acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas.
Speech and language pathologists: Includes provision of services for habilitation, rehabilitation, or prevention of communicative or oral pharyngeal disorders and delays in development of communication skills.
Nutritionists: Includes conducting individual assessments in nutritional history and dietary intake.
Mental health direct service providers: Services include obtaining, integrating, and interpreting information about child behavior and child and family conditions
Social work services: Services include making home visits to evaluate a child's living conditions and patterns of parent interaction.
Psychological Testing Specialists: Includes administering psychological and developmental tests
Vision Consultants: Includes evaluation and assessment of visual functioning, including the diagnosis and appraisal of specific visual disorders, delays, and abilities
