1026460 - Building Engineer, Equipment and General Maintenance Services
It is the County's intent to enter into a contract with a firm for the building engineer, equipment and general maintenance services at the Public Safety Headquarters (PSHQ) and general maintenance service at the Department of Liquor Control Warehouse as specified herein. The facility is operational, in part or in whole, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Safety and reliability are of paramount importance in the provision of building engineering, equipment maintenance services and general maintenance services (grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal on driveways and parking lots, maintenance and management of the lake, and custodial services). Effective maintenance to minimize interruptions shall be the key area of awareness of the ‘Proposer’.
A contract resulting from this RFP shall provide for the performance of Operation and Preventive Maintenance on a scheduled basis and Corrective Maintenance, System Modifications, Site Acceptance Testing, and Troubleshooting.
Site Surveys, Feasibility Studies, and Engineering Furnish & Install (EF&I) Services will be on an as needed Time & Materials basis as quoted in the Additional Work section I.3. The resulting contract will also include general maintenance services (grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal on driveways and parking lots).
It shall also be the purpose of the contract to ensure that existing systems are maintained in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations as well as to provide the necessary resources and expertise to provide complete upgrade solutions for future requirements.
The work under this contract is divided into three general categories: (A) Annual Operational Preventive Maintenance, Inspection, Testing and Repair; (B) Additional Work for major repairs, Special Testing, Modifications and for fulfillment of future needs, and (C) Emergency Services.
