1028580 - Information Technology (IT) Commodities
Montgomery County, Maryland (hereafter, County) invites proposals from potential service providers (hereafter, Offerors) who provide Information Technology (IT) commodities including products and associated OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) provided installation, training and maintenance plans and services.
The contract resulting from this RFP will replace the current contract, which had purchases estimated at between $6 Million to $8 Million per year. Detailed quantities or listings of prior purchases are not available. The County will be purchasing a wide variety of commodities including hardware, software, software licenses, software maintenance, training, extended warranties, and installation services. The County currently purchases most PCs, laptops and servers through an existing seat management contract.
A sample of the types of commodities purchased under this contract includes but are not limited to:
Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Software products, installation, training, maintenance (200-300 of most common COTS software products)
IT Hardware such as: Specialized servers, custom desktop computers, custom laptops, ruggedized laptops, monitors, printers, plotters, scanners, hard drives and arrays, network equipment, telecommunications equipment, cable TV equipment, computer memory & replacement parts, extended warranty services
Does not include consumable products such as toner, ribbons, CD or DVD diskettes or other office products.
Does not include copiers.
Does not include cellular telephones and service
Preferred Contractors will be able to provide:
Oracle Software and Maintenance
Siebel Software and Maintenance
Google Apps for Government
Panasonic Toughbooks with extended warranty
Microsoft products and maintenance
Apple products (not cellular)
