 CONSTRUCTION PAGE: 
  • SHORT TERM WORK ZONE:
    • Westbound on River Rd. (MD.190) at Willard Ave. blocking the left lane.
    • Due to a Crane Work there will be a Flagging Operation at 4825 Bethesda Ave. between Woodmont Ave. and Arlington Rd. on Saturday September 13, 2014 from 5:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
  • LONG TERM WORK ZONE:
    • Due to bridge reconstruction, the East Deer Park Road "Humpback Bridge" over the CSX tracks is scheduled to be closed until August 31, 2014. Please use the posted detour route. The traffic signals at East Deer Park Dr. and Railroad St. are now in FLASH.
    • Due to bridge construction, White's Ferry Rd will be closed between Old Hundred Rd. (MD.109) and Wasche Rd  until late August of 2014.
    • There is a long term construction project in the Downtown Bethesda Area. Woodmont Ave. will be closed  from Bethesda Ave. to Miller Ave. until late August 2014. Please follow the posted detour signs. (Click here to view map)
    • Watch for the continuing construction of the new Silver Spring Transit Center at Colesville Rd. and Wayne Ave. bus operations have been moved to the on street stops. New signs throughout the area around the Transit Center display maps showing the location of Ride On, Metro, VanGo, MTA Commuter and the University of Maryland shuttle bus stops.  These maps also show the locations of the Commuter Store, Taxi Stand, Kiss & Ride area, Parking, Silver Spring Metrorail station and the MARC Brunswick Line Silver Spring Station.  New bus stop signs, shelters and other amenities have also been added throughout the area around the Transit Center.
