Special Information:

FACILITY ACCESS - MCFRS WAREHOUSE
Some changes have been made concerning MCFRS Warehouse access. Please note the following:
  • Personnel coming to the facility for business at the Logistics Section storeroom should continue to use the side pedestrian door marked "Logistics". This door leads directly to the storeroom counter. The best place to park is on the side by this entrance or in the rear of the facility.
  • All other personnel coming to the facility are now asked to use the front door. Please stop at the front reception desk. Please advise reception of who you are there to see. The front door is kept locked at most times. If reception is not staffed at the time of your visit, please use the front doorbell.

Dress Uniform Fittings:

 


Dress uniform sessions will resume for career personnel (all ranks) starting in June.

These sessions are for measuring for replacement garments or when new garments (just recently issued) need adjustment.

If you have a dress uniform garment(s) with a fit problem, but which can be altered, please contact the Logistics Section storeroom for a referral to a contract tailor located in the County. The number is 240-777-2496.

If the garment(s) cannot be altered, or needs to be replaced due to loss, damage, wear and tear, please come to a dress uniform session.

Please bring currently issued dress uniform garments with you.

All sessions will be at the Logistics storeroom from 0900 to 1100 hours

Note: The Logistics Section coordinates services for dress uniform tailoring/alteration and for uniform shoe repair for career personnel. Prior to utilizing these services, please remember to first contact the Logistics Section on 240-777-2496 to obtain the names and locations of current contractors. When visiting a contractor, be prepared to show identification.

Personnel experiencing fit problems with dress uniform apparel should visit one of the tailoring/alteration contractors (please contact Logistics for current contractor names and locations), unless the apparel is new and was just issued within the past 2 to 3 months. For dress uniform apparel which is new and just issued within the past 2 to 3 months, please come to a dress uniform fitting session (listed above). Our dress uniform contractor will perform these alterations at no cost to the Department.
