Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Receives Prestigious NACo Achievement Award

Rockville, MD - - - Montgomery County has received 20 National Association of Counties (NACo) achievement awards – more than any county in the State – for outstanding programs. The Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service was recognized with an award for the implementation of an electronic patient care reporting system (ePCR).

“Once again our employees have shown hard work and innovation through these award-winning submissions,” said County Executive Isiah Leggett. “These awards honor the efforts and dedication of all our employees who work so hard to serve the residents of Montgomery County.”

The ePCR system streamlines the management of patient care information and provides MCFRS with a secure and accurate mobile reporting system. The system allows for migration away from the traditional paper-based patient care data collection system to a paperless environment that will result in more effective and efficient business operations. The system provides MCFRS with a technological edge that streamlines the management of patient care information.
