What To Do If Your Name Has Been Selected: If your name has been selected and appears on one of the lottery lists below, the builder will contact you either by mail or telephone. Generally, this will occur within three weeks of the date of the lottery. You do not need to contact the builder. (Information on when the builder will call you is not available by telephone from the MPDU office. Only questions about the MPDU program itself should be directed to the MPDU office.)
Point System: Due to the lottery "point system" established several years ago, you may see the same names being picked again and again in different lotteries. This is because households with the greatest number of points (5 points) will always be the group from which we draw first in every lottery.
What If Your Name is Not on the List: If you do not see your name on the list, it does not mean we did not receive your lottery ticket - it simply means you were not chosen in this lottery. We choose about twice as many names in each lottery as there are MPDUs available. We keep all lottery entry forms for up to six months if more names need to be chosen (for example, in the case not all MPDUs are sold from the names on the original list).
Upcoming Lotteries: We are now posting information on upcoming lotteries for which we have mailed out the lottery forms. Not everyone will receive every flyer. If you do not receive a flyer, it is because your household size does not meet the requirement for the size unit being offered, or your certificate is only for the rental MPDU program. Please do not contact the MPDU office to determine when the next lottery will be. You will be notified by mail if your household size meets the requirement for the lottery. Advance notification on lotteries is not available from the MPDU office.:
