Building Bridges from Incarceration to Community
Construyendo Puentes desde la
Cárcel a la Comunidad
The Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) Re-Entry For All Program is committed to assisting inmates in their transition from incarceration, back into the community. One of the most important transitions made is back into the family. Incarceration can be a very difficult time for the family members of the inmate. MCCF provides a quarterly Family Outreach Nite in the community in an attempt to reach out to the family members of incarcerated individuals, whether they are in the local detention center, or any other state or federal correctional facility.
Family members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the support services available in the community such as legal services, educational and employment services, social services, medical care, and mental health and substance abuse treatment to name a few. Family members are also encouraged to seek support for themselves through NAMI and Ala-Non.
For more information on Family Outreach Nite, please feel free to contact:
Wendy Miller: (240) 773-9982 or Gale Starkey: (240) 773-9769. Hope to see you there!
