The Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) offers college students the opportunity to complete one or two semester internships in several concentrations. Sociology and Criminal Justice internships are currently available at the Associates, Bachelors and Masters levels. Social work internships are also available for both Bachelors and Masters level students through a variety of universities. Students have the opportunity to gain direct practice skills and experience in these areas under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
Clinical Internship in the areas of social work and mental health are also available for both Bachelor and Masters level students through several different universities including: University of Maryland, Shepherd University, Towson State and Argosy University. Students have the opportunity to gain direct practice skills and experience in these areas under the supervision of licensed clinical practitioners.
