The Pre-Release and Reentry Services (PRRS) Food Services section offers a balanced diet to all PRRS residents and staff.  Cafeteria hours are as follows: Breakfast is served from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM; lunch from 12noon until 1:30 PM; and dinner is served between 5:00PM and 7:00PM.  Packed lunches are available for employed residents leaving the building who will be in the community during lunch hours. Similarly, late dinner is provided to those residents who are returning after regular dinner hours.

The Food Services section is staffed by Correctional Dietary Officers and supervised by a Correctional Dietary Supervisor.  Resident workers assist in the production, service and sanitation of the kitchen.  A registered Dietitian manages food services for the Department.

PRRS provides a regular diet of approximately 2300 calories per day. However, special diets (such as medical, vegetarian, and religious) are available upon verification and authorization.  Meals are served on a tray line where foods are optional and many items are self-serve.  There is a full salad bar offered at both lunch and dinner to supplement the existing meal and/or give a healthy option.  The dining room seats 88 people and has a lovely view of the PRRS courtyard.  Meals are provided for both staff and residents.
