a Mental Health Provider?
Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services provides mental health and substance abuse services to individuals residing in Montgomery County. Services are provided by a combination of contractor and county staff, and are delivered using a continuum of treatment modalities. Services are for persons unable to access similar services in the private sector due to lack of insurance or ability to pay. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale. No one is denied service because they cannot pay.
Mental Health Core Services Agency - (240) 777-1400
Responsible for the planning, development, monitoring and evaluation of publicly funded behavioral health care services for special populations. Target populations include children with adjustment and behavioral disorders, adults with severe and persistent mental illness, homeless mentally ill persons, and elderly persons with mental health needs. Services include:
Local system governance
Fiscal management of state and federal grants
Grievance and appeal resolution
Monitoring of administrative services contract
Planning and needs assessment
Policy development
Provider contract development and monitoring
Provider recruitment
Quality control
Training
The Maryland Public Mental Health System serves the needs of seriously and persistently mentally ill adults, and seriously emotionally disturbed children. ADDICTION SERVICES COORDINATION - (240) 777-4710 Responsible for intake, assessment, referral and case management services for drug and alcohol-involved adults, whether voluntary or court ordered. Also includes: DWI (Driving While Intoxicated Services), Residential Services Management, Urine Monitoring, Walk-in Intake, and Intensive Day Treatment programs.

Intensive education, treatment and referral services for eligible alcohol/drug addicted inmates of the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Primary provider of intensive outpatient services for the folllowing groups:
