In collaboration with HHS, Mary Center & Impact Silver Spring, bilingual Community Connectors meet with residents in the TESS office and in the community, providing information, resources and assistance to families and individuals.  Connectors provide referrals to government and private services, helping community members with applications for rental and energy assistance, childcare assistance, eviction prevention, food stamps support, health services and other supportive services.  

Health and Human Services Offices:

Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services:

• Assistance applying for public and private benefits and in completing forms and applications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) information and referral on government and community programs and resources.

• Certified translations of birth, death and baptism records

• Free income tax preparation for low/moderate income households (Tuesday evenings, February - April, by appointment only)

• Free consultations with lawyers regarding civil issues for low/moderate income households (first and third Wednesday evenings of the month)

• Free notary public

• Interpretation (Spanish/English)

• Judy Center preschool playgroup (Thursdays, 10:00 am - 12:00 AM)

• Sale of Ride On Bus Youth Cruiser passes

• Voter Registration
