Reimbursements for respite care to allow family caregivers to get a break by either bringing an agency respite service into the home to care for the elder or placing their relative in an overnight facility. Provide respite care services for families in Montgomery County who have a member with autism or other developmental disability regardless of age. Take-A-Break Program allows caregivers a few hours of respite by engaging students in age-appropriate activities on Saturday afternoons. Program operates September to June. Respite Camps operate on days when Montgomery County schools are closed, including winter and spring breaks, from 8am to 6pm. Daily and weekly rates available. Autism Waiver funding, Maryland Developmental Disabilities funding, and private payment are accepted.
