· Provides a nutrition program for adults age 60 and over, their spouse of any age and in some circumstances adults with disabilities of any age.
· Provides lunch, socialization, nutrition educaiton, nutrition screening, and other programs and services at congregate sites.
· Provides referral to programs that may provide home-delivered means to eligible seniors and people with disabilities.
· Each meal meets 1/3 of the Dietary Referrence Intakes (DRIs) for older adulds and follows the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

For Reservations: Call the sites. Reservations are needed by 1:00 pm at least one day in advance. All congregate sites are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. |

Cancellation Policy: When Montgomery County schools are closed, there is no lunch service to any site. When Montgomery County schools open late, only the eight (8) housing sites (where people do not need to go out of doors to get their meal) should receive meals. These are: Churchill, Franklin, Arcola, Elizabeth, Lakeview, Waverly, Holly Hall, Forest Oak, and Inwood. Box lunches are requested for all sites on these days, if possible, as the nutrition site managers might not report to work. |

Home Delivered Meals Programs |
|
|
Each home delivered meals program serves a distinct geographic area in Montgomery County. However, JSSA provides Kosher meals in many areas of the County.
Individuals who are eligible for home delivered meals are:
- Age 60 or over and the spouse of any age. A disabled child of a person receiving meals is also eligible.
- Frail and generally unable to shop or prepare meals.
- Unable to obtain food from another source, such as a family member or neighbor who can shop and prepare meals.
Cost per meal varies. Contact the individual program listed below for more information. The best time to call most programs is in the morning.

Montgomery County Ride On Bus |

Grocery shopping service is provided for a limited number of subsidized senior apartment buildings once per week. It is also available to other buildings with a large number of low-income seniors, provided there is no other grocery transportation available. Contact the building property management to find out if this service is available. |
